Handheld Computers / Terminals

Key Based, Pen/Touch, Rugged Mobile Computers, Portable Data Collectors (PDT’s), Rugged Handhelds

Rugged handheld devices are purposely built for unforgiving applications. They combine the benefits of typical consumer PDAs and industrial mobile computers into a single robust package.

Although rugged, the devices are generally small and lightweight, but unlike PDAs they are able to provide targeted functionality. They are ergonomically designed with an array of keyboard layouts, touch screen facilities and a range of integrated barcode reading capabilities available. The option of enhanced wireless connectivity is the key with the capacity for 802.11a/b/g (commonly known as ‘wireless’) compatibility, Cisco certified compatibility (a typical wireless network infrastructure) and Bluetooth.

With the latest Microsoft Windows operating system technology deployed, handheld devices are easy for the operative to use, easy to manage and control and easy to implement alongside day-to-day business activities.

A Beginners Guide

Handheld devices are strong and reliable. We don’t encourage it, but if you drop them on a hard floor, they should continue to work! If you want to keep tabs on your products, then label them up with a barcode sticker and zap them with the terminal using the bar code reader and a designated software package. It cuts down on paper and saves you plenty of time.
